I was transferring some songs from iTunes to the SD card in my treo and it was horridly slow. USB 1.1 is essentially 1MB/s, while my SD card can do 10MB/s. USB 2.0 would provide more reasonable transfer speeds, but I don't know if the palm hardware supports it. Does the sync cable or p1 cradle support USB 2.0?

I have a TiBook, so I only have USB 1.1 anyways. But, I'm not against getting a USB 2.0 CardBus card if I could actually make use of the greater speed for copying music to the Treo. CardBus can do 33 - 132MB/s so this could work well if I got a mac os x supported usb 2.0 cardbus card

Oh the things we'll do for our geek toys...

Bummer. Does everyone using Missing Sync to transfer audio files have to sit there waiting for it like I do? I transferred one album and it took, well, I don't even know how long. I'll have to try it out again and time it.

missing sync is great for many things, but when it comes to moving lots of files fast, the best way to do it is to pop the SD card into a firewire card reader. You can transfer 1-2 Gb in a few minutes.
