I either see these really cheap $5 cradles that will ruin the interior of my car or break my vent OR these rediculously expensive car kits for $200. UGH!!! I just want to mount the damn phone and talk on the bluetooth. I don't see why it's so hard to make a 2-in-1 charger/cradle at a descent price. Something you stick in your lighter with a short sturdy male end that supports the cradle and charges the phone at the same time.

I have a 600 and got the "stand" that sits in your cup holder and "squeezes" together to hold the device. It works great. You have to remove it from the case but it serves the purpose...

Beautiful system except that it ends up costing $60.00 after you get the $30 device to hold the phone and the $30 device to attach to the car. Kind of expensive.

jackalope, how much give is there with the side posts? My 650 is in an InnoPocket aluminum case so I need a little extra horizontal space.

You can get the generic windsheild auto mounts on eBay for less then $10-15 shipped... I am looking for one now. Cause with the Bluetooth "earring" always in my ear, I am tired of having to look DOWN at my phone on the seat next to me whenever it rings. And plus its easier and safer to have it sitting above in my line of sight...

When you go to eBay you can do a search on "(pda, ipod, treo) windshield". Plus these are also interchangeable with whatever pda, gps or phone you have as these kind are all adjustable in width and depth so they can grow with whatever you use. Its worth a shot and cheap!

I second this recommendation, except that I use the airvent mount. I did extensive research and found this to be the most economical and secure option.

I am using the iPod Vent mount from ExtremePDA.com, and am very happy with it. Tried the windshield PDA mount first. Very solid product, but I ended up not liking to have it hang from the windshield.

The iPod holder is slightly smaller than the PDA holder, a perfect fit for the Treo. And the vent mount is really good, with little adjustable sliders on the vent clips to avoid it from moving too much.

The iPod holder would probably even fit with that case...the PDA holder most certainly will.

I also purchased the iPod holder from Extreme PDA, but I mounted the holder on a ProClip console mount holder. Can't afford to give up any AC vents in the summer. This combo works great. THe other plus with the iPod holder is that it will work with whatever case you happen to be using on the 650 at the time. SKin case, Vaja, or "naked" 650, the holder is adjustable. Also very well made. I love Proclip, but the 650 holder does not allow for using with a case.

Damn, $12.00 USPS shipping on a $6.99 item? Someone's scamming Ebay. LOL. I might give one a shot. The only problem I foresee is my Innopocket case has a cover over the keys. The good news is it opens from left to right. The bad news is I don't know if the door will clear the right clamp on that case.

I like it because it does not take up a vent, cup holder, or windshield space.
It is not in the way of my wife's knee, either.

I am going to hardwire my charger and have it come up from under the right side so that it is not dangling anywhere!

I use this awesome hookup I stumbled upon last year. It has a controllable vertical and a controllable 360 degree swivel action that makes it compatible for almost any car setup.
Also, you can actually type on the keys with a solid feel when hooked up. It attaches to the car lighter AND has TWO lighter sockets for charging etc on the base!

I have an EXTRA ONE which I might be willing to part with or $25 shipped.

I am not sure if I will ever come across a setup as cool and useful as this one for a low price.
