We just deployed Exchange 2003 with ssl IMAP. Unfortunately there is something fishy about our certificates (I don't think we've signed on with one of the usual certification agencies yet). If I connect via Mozilla Thunderbrd, I get the usual bad cert warning popup with the option of accepting the cert permanently or temporarily. If I accept, then all is fine and I can read my email.

When I try to connect with Chatter, after a few mins I get a 'Bad Certificate' message and no connection. I tried checking the 'trust certificates' checkbox, but that didn't seem to have any impact.

Should I be able to get around this 'bad cert' problem with Chatter, or should I just wait until our sysops get this fixed?

pwest - The "trust certificates" option should work, I think. Can you make me a log?
