Ok got the treo 650 and 1 gb card and the jabra headset...but I'm afraid my beloved treo will get scratched or worse broken; so I want to know what is the best case out there (what are you aceheads buying?)
I pretty much hate every case around. None of them work well for me.
I recently got a Seidio cradle clip and I like it a lot.
Before that, would you believe I was using a Bianchi military double-magazine holder with the insert removed? It actually works pretty well. Belt slide only, unless you want to use their giant clip on your dress belt. :-)
I don't remember offhand which size it was (they have two). Comes in OD and black.
There's no "best" case. That's why there are so many different styles of cases. Different strokes for different folks. If you read throught the accessories forum, you'll find a lot of threads about cases. You'll have to decide what you want out of a case yourself.

I'm out of my mind. But feel free to leave a message.

That's like asking, "What's better, a screwdriver or a hammer?" Kinda depends on what you need. Look in the Accessories forum here. There's a lot of good discussion on the pros and cons for various cases.
Can anyone recommend a heavy duty case that's suitable for being on the belt of a law enforcement officer? Normally I leave my 650 in the car, but sometimes I like having it on my belt, but I'd rather it not get crushed.
I have been looking for a case that holds the treo VERY tightly to the side. All of the rotating and removable clip type cases hold the darn thing too far out to the side.
Anyway, this case, from an Italian case maker, currently made for the Treo 600 looks perfect to me. A "play-through" case. looks sharp, and a metal clip that looks like it would tuck it in real tight. Attached are some pics of it on the 600:
Anyway, Treocentral store sells it and I emailed them. Apparently they will have it available for the Treo 650 in about 6 weeks.
Dale,
A 650 version is in production, but we won't have it on the site for another 45 days.
Thanks,
Marcus Adolfsson

Subject: Codi case for the Treo 650
this case looks perfect, but do you know if it will be available at any time for the Treo650? I would preorder one if it is definitely coming.
I was thinking of one of those holsters (but am afraid of the geeky look)
Or the e-Grips..

Do files get embarrassed when they get unzipped?
In general, I like side cases and have two. The PalmOne leather for the 600 works nicely for the 650. I don't like the one they made for the 650. The Covertec horizontal is also very nice. I think I like it the best. But, 14 days ago I ordered a Vaja i-volution. Cant's wait for it to get here.
I have to have one with a post-type belt clip (the rotating kind you can pop off and leave the clip on the best). Right now the PalmOne case seems like a good place to start...how is it?
My Vaja ivolution just arrived. At first I was like what this was how much. but them i put it on and its beautiful. Fits like a glove. Now I'm going to want to buy more colors!!!
I love my Piel Frama flip case for the 650. Loved the first one I had for my 600 that I bought another. Great workmanship and very utile. A bit costly, but worth it. Service from Piel Frama has been tremendous, and it now looks like Treo Central sells the cases at something of a discount relative to ordering direct from Spain and payingt the Euro premium.

I like the cody case.
The clip is slim and will tuck real close.
I like the rugged leather as well.
Are you sure that the 600 case won't fit on 650.
45 days is a heck of a wait.
