I don't know if I am just nto educated or not, but am I supposed to do something different when I text message 5 digit numbers?

Like for using googles text messaging service or for getting the weather via 4CAST (42278)

no, just put in the digits. It may not be supported by your carrier if it does not work. I have Cingular, works for me.

I really like a thing called upsnap. I keep in my contacts so i can pull it up on sms. The number is 818-312-7627.

Don't call it but send an sms to it such as
    Home Depot Tustin Ca
It comes back with a list:
    a - Home Depot the
    b - HOme Depot
    c - The Home Depot
    d - Loan Depot Express
    e - Cabinet Depot
    f - more

you resend the letter of your choice (Most of the time there is not 3 home depots in one area, so less confusing) and it sends back name address phone (and the phone number is clickable very nice)

If you make a mistake it will show you how to enter the information.

The 5 digit codes don't work on my TDMA nokia.

Hopefully this wont matter as of next week!
