I have an 11 month old Handspring Treo 600 that 3 months ago started dropping signals and giving me the "network search" problem. This lasted about 3 weeks and I called the service site on the Sprint website who recommended taking it to a Sprint service center. But the problem abruptly went away and I didn't do anything about it. Then 3 weeks ago the problem returned to a lesser extent so I went to the local Sprint store (took me two locations as the first center was just a mall kiosk!). They took the defective unit, examined it for about 30 min then replaced it with a brand new unit (now a PalmOne Treo 600). No fuss and no muss and the service folks were great.
