Chatter IMAP and Exchange

Hi all,

I am ready to go to out IT folks and ask them to let me "Chatter" in to the Exchange server. I know I'll get a wall at first but I know they can do this since we have executive members using Blackberries.

Here is my question:
Since we have folks using Blackberries, does this mean that they are already providing IMAP access? If so, then that means that I will have a better case to get them to open it up for my T-650.

Sorry, but blackberries use a completely different system (from RIM). The use of blackberries does NOT mean IMAP is available.

That tells me I have an up hill battle... our company doesn't even let us access hotmail for fear of viruses.
