I'm at the end of my rope, maybe you folks can help me out.

My wife just returned her Treo 300 to Sprint's equipment protection plan and received a new Treo 600 as a replacement.

I downloaded the latest palm desktop (I've been a Treo 600 user for several months and made the same upgrade earlier this year), installed it and got to the screen where it prompts to sync. Pushed the sync button. The 'installing handspring Treo..' dialog popped up, then disappeared...then nothing.

Eventually the treo pops up an alert telling me it can't connect to teh computer.

I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled. Troubleshooter advice reccomended USB reg utility...did that. Reinstalled, rebooted, uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, deleted handspring registry keys, reinstalled...ad nauseum.

Same thing. The computer just won't see the treo.

*My* computer sees her Treo, but her computer also doesn't see my treo.

Before we began this whole exercise, she synced her Treo 300 with her PC...so it worked as recently as this afternoon, but never since we started the upgrade process.

Any ideas?
