I have had my Treo 600 since a week after it was released and managed to avoid any drops. Well - I had a bad day last Friday and dropped it not once, not twice, but THREE times. It appeared to survive unscathed...or so I mistakenly thought. I answered a call and was able to hear the caller fine. My response however fell on deaf ears (so to speak) as the mic has apparently quit working. I assume the mic issue is related to the drops. I can still use the phone with a headset.

I purchased the Treo directly from Sprint and have the miserable insurance. I have heard that many people have experienced long delays in getting repairs/replacement. Has anyone had to deal with Sprint on a return/repair recently? If so, how was the experience? If I would likely have a long delay before repair, I am considering ending it to PalmOne for repair (and will pay a nominal repair fee). Anyway, just looking for some guidance on the best way to get it repaired/replaced with the quickest turnaround time.
