i've noticed that now that i am running callfilter v1.2, my treo returns to the 'phone' app after i hang up from a call. it looks to only happen to callers that i have a rule setup for in callfilter but i'm not for sure if that is a definite.

is this a takephone or callfilter problem?

Hi,

I've just upgraded to T600 from my old Treo180

And voila, TakePhone imidiatelly recognized new hardware. Cool.
Everthing's just fine.

BUT, I was very used to TakePhone great SMS feature which was introduced one year ago (I was also involved in discussions about its design.)

With Treo 180, for each speed dial entry (button), I could either dial (tap&hold) or go to edit dialog (single click) where I could send SMS directly (there was 'SMS button').
Now, I guess TakePhone is following T600 interface (with four type of Favorites entries; SpeedDial, Application, Message, URL) and there is no more 'SMS button' in Edit dialog ?!??
Why ?!? There's enough space on the screen ?

Yes, I know that I could assign another Favorites with Message type, but then I need two entries for most of my favorite numbers. And this is pure waste of precious space.

Shimon, I vote for 'SMS button' back in Edit dialog !!

btw, I find T600's approach with separate favorite types for dial and SMS numbers very doubtful since most of my favorite numbers are mobile phones which I use for dial and SMS equally.

You can still tap and hold from speed dial, and at the bottom of the screen one of your choices is SMS. Have faith!

Thanks Alli, but it works only if I define the favorite entry as "Message" - then I really got SMS button. BUT, then there's no CALL button

I would like to use the same number (favorite entry) for either CALL or SMS....

I never defined my favorite entries...they're simply speed dial numbers. Are you tap/holding on the speed dial call button?

Ali - which Treo do you have ? If you have Treo 180, than TakePhone works different (see my original post).

When I do simple click it brings me to 'Edit speed-dial' (it depends on setting in tap&hold preferences - it could be dial or edit on tap&hold).

On top of the screen there's 'Type' pull-down menu : I can select Application/SpeedDial/Message/Web Link.

If you choose SpeedDial, than you only have CALL button, and vice-versa, if you have MEssage than you only have SMS button

Shimon - sorry for the redundancy whereas I left the same request in the 2day thread but thought this enhancement request would be useful for both of these successful apps.

I often forward my incoming mobile-phone calls (SprintPCS phone) to my home number when I'm home. I do this manually through the T600's phone app (Menu>Options>PhonePreferences). Upon selecting a number for the calls to be forwarded to and clicking OK, there is a blue arrow icon adjacent to the signal strength indicator that appears. This is a valuable icon for when I decide to leave the office or home and need to change the forwarding status back again. I am also contemplating the FastForward software and would find a forwarding icon useful under that circumstance whereas I'd be using the forwarding feature much more often then. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this. Let me know if there is any further info I can get for you whereas I know you don't yet have a T600 you can tinker with.

Please make sure you are using the latest version - 6.00 (010) has the SMS button in that "edit" dialog.

When I make lookup in my contact list using TP, than I want to SMS VCARD to someone. Now, I need to leave TP and start another application. Or you could implement sending VCARD in directly in TakePhone ?

what about implementing some of the other features all treo users seem to die for... ie. picture caller id - or assigning MP3 rings... It seems that we 600 users need at least a dozen programs to get the phone to where most of us love it.. one UBER utility that incorporated at least some of the phone problems would be amazing.... maybe a takephone PLUS or something like that..

i love you product and have been using it for a while now. wanted to let you know (and hopefully contribute) to this fine product -- i found a bug. Here's the situation (which seems to be replicable on my end):
Wireless off
i go to your program
go to the speed dial
select a speed dial
it tells me that wireless is off, would i like to turn on
i select yes, turn on
it dials
we talk
then, when they hang up
the phone locks for about a minute
and it returns control back to me

please let me know if you need more details
