I am currently evaluating the next TAKEphONE "generation" - some GUI changes in order to make it for "Treo 6x0 firendly".

Shimon - I was using TP today to make contact with a client. I was weighing my options on whether to send an email, place a call or send an SMS and was trying to determine what action I took the last time I contacted this person. I could not locate any history on my previous actions for this person. I've since downloaded Call Notes from Handwave http://www.handwave.com/callnotes.html and it works great to track phone calls in the notes section of contact db. But it would be useful to also include a brief history (date, time, subject-line) of any contact-action afforded users via the TP interface (including email, SMS, call). As long as the user clicked the corresponding contact-action via TAKEphONE, could you track that action regardless of the assigned application handling the client?

Can I make a suggestion? When a new version is announced, can you please but it in the subject line of the thread? It is so much easier than reading down 300 messages to figure out if a new version has really been released.

I've noticed a couple of my other favorite applications (Verichat & Pocket Tunes) now provide a menu option that enables download of their latest version (i.e. checks for new version and prompts for accepting loading) directly to the Treo/device.

Is there any chance of you considering adding this feature to TAKEphONE?

When I tried sound record, I had the same problem. What I realized though, was that it might be more of a sound record problem than a takephone problem. For instance, when I installed Mvoice (which has a one button record that can be configured to the phone button) I didn't have the same problem. With Mvoice the one button press works well with Takephone. Either way though, I hope the problem with Soundrec gets solved, as it's a useful freeware alternative.

Now I remember.
I suspect the issue is with SoundRec detecting the PHONE press, but not handling or "swallowing" all of the related events, so this creates a "lag" in the events stream.

Can we contact the developer, so we can sort this out together ?
