Right now I use sync all to force a backup of all my databases to my desktop. What does a program like backupman (or others like it) do that can't be done by my crude method of backing up my data?

I know that the backup programs let you save multiple backups, but I don't need that. Is there something that the backup programs do that a sync all doesn't (and that I would actually want)?

So far, I haven't had a problem restoring data using my method.

I could be wrong here, but I think that the difference is that the other backup programs give you the ability of scheduled backups, encryption, and mobility (memory card). With SyncAll you are restricted to the computer you are performing the HotSync. Am I correct?
