I have a Sprint Treo 600 (Hardware Rev c, firmware 1.1). I'm going to Europe in September. Will it work over in Europe as is? If not, is there anything I can do to make it work?

Sprint is CDMA and all the Euro providers over there are GSM. Thus your Sprint Treo600 cannot work in europe period... unlocked GMS Treos can although...

Anyway, Sprint has some international plans where you can rent a gms phone for overseas travels...but these are expensive as hell!! Just go get a cheapo unlocked gsm phone (triband min) and get a prepaid sim card when you get over there...easiest solution imo...

I just got back from a 2 week trip in Italy and France. I have T-Mobile in the US and the phone worked without a hitch - also used SMS a lot because it was $0.99 a minute to talk on the phone.

I was also using SnapperMail to pull down e-mail, but I had mixed results with the GPRS service. SMS is a lot more reliable.
