    I recommend GridLock for the Treo 600. It's available for free from After you install it, turn off Keyguard in Preferences (because it is redundant).

    The program displays a dozen or so blank squares. With your thumb or stylus you tap the squares, filling them in. In this manner you create a pattern that becomes your password.

    It handles alarms and popclock well. I haven't tested it with autofetch on Snappermail.
