In response to no particular problem, I think Treo owners should understand that it is EXTREMELY UNLIKELY that any set of resets (soft or hard) are as a result of a hardware problem.

Sure, it's possible, but it's probably the LEAST likely explanation, unless the crash is reproducible on a bare, hard-reset (with nothing then sync'ed in) Treo. Otherwise, thinking of returning the unit or exchanging it is simply a waste of your time and Handspring's money.

I haven't read the FAQ that's floating around here yet, but there are numerous threads describing what to try if you're getting resets, flashing palm screens, and the like.

Look there for answers, rather than blaming the hardware first.

And no, I don't work for anyone that makes hardware. But I've crashed enough Treo's in my day to speak from experience...
