Since the "cap" on top is just a cap, is there any change of it coming off when the stylus is still in the Centro and the rest of the stylus stuck?

Yes, in theory the cap could come off and leave the stylus behind. However, I have the Seidio stylus with pen for the 650 and have not found it to be a problem in practice--the friction on the cap is more than in the stylus tube.

Besides, the stylus is easily accessible beneath the battery cover, so even if the cap did come adrift you could still push the stylus out.
