    I would think such a locating device would only be accurate if you are in the vicinity of a bunch of towers. I say this because when you are in a rural area, and can only hit one tower, the list of candidate PN's coming from your active PN is many but you are in effect far away from them. There is one particular tower I get while driving home that is 10 miles away, and the list of candidate PN's provided by that tower are all even farther away than that. After that tower drops - I then pick up the local towers which are on a different SID that does not share PN's with the other tower's system, though they are both Sprint PCS. One is an affiliate market.
