    Hi All -

I've been searching around but can't find an answer to my problem. I recently bought & installed Pocket-Tunes Deluxe. Plays mp3's just fine, but I want to be able to listen to internet radio as well. When I open the internet radio catalog, there is nothing there, and it connects to the internet to update the catalog. I sets there for a minute or two, and then the little update window closes and leaves me with what looks like it should be the catalog, but it's totally empty. At first I thought maybe I had a weak signal or something, but I can surf the net quite effectively from the same spot (my desk at work!) with reasonably good speed, but the internet radio thing just won't work. I've tried a few of the slower bitrate streams from shoutcast as well, but when I try to play them, p-tunes just displays 'reconnecting' forever. I must be missing something here. Any suggestions?

While in PT, press Q. Note that there's a category drop down; tap it: do you see different categories (Jazz, Metal, Other/Mixed...etc)? If so, choose one..."Jazz", for example.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

This did basically the same thing. It opened the empty catalog (I guess that's what I'm looking at), asked me if it was OK to connect to the internet (I said yes), and then the small window opened on top of the catlog and went into 'Updating Internet radio stations' like it always does. After a minute or 2, the small window goes away and I am still left with an empty catalog. The little catagory drop down in the upper left has Featured, Unfiled, Edit Groups. That's it.

    Thanks for helping.

You should probably ask NormSoft directly:
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680
    <script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
    <a href="skype:wwgamble?call"><img src="" style="border: none;" width="150" height="60" alt="My Skype status" /></a>

What carrier are you using? Do you need to go through a proxy (i.e. the cheap T-Mobile web thing)?

Yes, Treo 650 on T-Mobile using the cheap T-Mobile web thing (T-Zones). Hope that's not the problem. I can surf the internet with no problem, and my download speed is about 94kbits/sec according to I have been in contact with the NormSoft people and they had me delete the P-Tunes application and reload it. They wanted me to download it over the air to the phone, which it would not do for the longest time. It would download about 1.02M of 1.12M and fault out. I eventually got it all downloaded (after about 10 tries) and installed OK. Still have the same symptoms. I have also deleted it and reloaded it via hotsync with the same results. I have about 5M free memory left, so don't think that's the problem, but I even tried downloading it to the SD card, but it would not install from there. Don't remember the error it threw. I found it strange that I could not move it from the card to the internal memory using Filez. I also had some knid of error. Sorry I don't have those details, as I was out and about, and just pulled into a parking lot to try it again thinking my crappy reception at my house was part of the problem.

I have a Sprint Palm Treo 755p and really like it. Huge improvement over my old trusty 600 with T-Mobile.

I purchased Pocket Tunes Deluxe 4.03 and it works great on my 755p.

I get the most battery use if I turn off the screen and if it is not charging at the same time.

The battery gets hot if I receive music and charge the device at the same time and then it freezes up.

There are gazillions of music genres; unbelievably eclectic. Glad I stumbled on a golden oldies link (aacPlus list; scroll down to SKY Oldies 50s, 60s, 70s). I play it when I jog and sometimes use a cable and play it through the mp3 socket on my radio console dash in my Chevrolet HHR.

One complaint about my 755p device. The headphones socket does not grip the connectors snugly. I have tried several and none are "tight." It is an anoying problem when I jog with the device in my shorts pocket.

The Sprint service has some radio music also but the list in Pocket Tunes is much better. Huge variety.

Good luck in solving your problem.
