Is it possible to use the Dialer app from Treo 680 on our 755p?

I have a T|X and I was beaming over some apps and they were all back-compat. Even the Bluetooth dialer worked as a standard dialpad on the Treo as did the SMS app.

Also, if we were able to get the Dialer over and it was a different application name, I'm assuming we could just use a tool like Butler to map it to the phone key?

I just got my Treo yesterday and I'm trying to get a feel for it.

According to Ben Combee, a Palm employee and periodic contributor to these forums, the dialer app for the 680 used a totally different internal phone API so wouldn't work on the 700p. I suspect it therefore would have no hope on the 755p either.

I'd rather get my hands on the .prc files using FileZ and check for myself. But alas, I have no 680.

It is coded for a GSM phone and won't work on a Sprint phone.

Case closed I suppose. Is there a database of apps made by Palm that weren't included on the 755p? I managed to get a couple of the apps that I use all of the time (like Note Pad) off of the T|X but I'm sure there are others out there.
