I hadn't noticed the USB Registry Repair Tool. But since this tool seems to address the enumeration of the USB cardle, I'm not sure if it addresses the sync timeout issue that I (and others) have been experiencing.
With Palm Desktop 4.01, when a timeout event occurs during a sync, (frequently, but no exclusively, with AvantGo), the Visor reports that the connection has been lost. Apparently the PC is dropping the connection, whereas this had not been happening, certainly with this frequency, with the PD 3 s/w.
While I am very eager to use the enhanced PD 4, I've tried it already two times (before and after updgrading to AvantGo 4) and am weary of trying again, until I am certain this has been addressed.
