Those of us with 700P's with the recent MR have noticed the same issue, so I'd conjecture it's in the common code shared by the two phones.

Anyone have any update on this issue? It's starting to do it more and more and starting to bug me more and more.

If we have to wait a whole year for Palm to fix this as part of a Maintenance Release, I am going to be pissed!!!!

How can they release a phone that makes this annoying beep after all their beta testing? kill me and are forcing me to head over to the Blackberry world!!!!

Same here! I get a push button dial pad sound even when set phone is in silent mode. This is a problem because for me it is quite loud. I need to use it sometimes in a quiet setting and I really need to get rid of this. I hope there is a fix soon.

    Nope. Bad info.

Another way to hear the beep is to play Solitaire. You can switch the ringer switch off and when you go to a new game, you get the DTMF tone.

Count me in, my 755p is also doing this. When I sign into AIM I hear it.
