Dropped phone on day #1 see pic.

Yes, that's right from about waist height to the floor and the screen cracked to pieces on the inside. The phone still turns on, but this is what I see. Will this case solve, protect my "next" phone from breaking. My phone fell on it's corner, so I guess it just compressed it enough to break screen.

The case would help to a degree depending on the force of the drop and the place of impact on the Treo. The best protection would be from one of the silicone cases as they would absorb more of the shock, which is what appears to be in the picture you provided.

I hope you have the full insurance.

I've dropped my treos plenty of times (the 600, 650 and 700). Only had one crack the screen like that, and it was my wife that actually knocked it off bathroom counter onto the tile floor.

I've since used a silicone case religiously and no further breakages (knock on wood).

I use the Krussel Classic case on both my 650 and 700p and haven't had a break yet (but lots of falls). I should point out that I am on my 3rd 650, though, due to failure of the internal flash memory (I think). The only problem with these cases is that the trap some of the heat inside the unit, which is noticeable especially if you use the phone or have your internet connection active while doing either of the following: 1) the phone is on the charger or 2) you're stressing the processor (i.e., watching movies).

I think it may be a prerequisite to 700P ownership...

Some people prob. need that type of case. Hard to score a date with it though..

I personally, have the extended sprint insurance and use a nice little side pocket holdster ($12) that I modified to;

Holds extra SD card. (SD/USB card that boots Linux on any 386)

Keep my credit cards, business cards and ID in.
Holds my Bluetooth ear piece.

With extra insurance... it's the perfect case.

After trying 4-5 cases..

I'm extremely happy..

dropped mine on the second day, had in a slide pouch, thank goodness for that. Only the stylus and SD card went flying.
