My only question is does the new radio that is in the 680 make for a better phone calling experience over the 650. I currently have the 650 and can make do with the annoying resets (versa mail auto get feature), but it is unusable as a phone without volume care. People can't hear me, I can't hear them for many of the calls I make.
Bottom line, it is it a good phone?

Only time will tell.

If it does turn out to be a better phone (i.e. no need for VC) I think a lot of people with 650's will "upgrade" just to get the better phone.
