I tried uninstalling the program. I tried deleting the folders that resemble my old sync IDs... I just got my replacement phone but I dont want to sync with my old ID in case there was something wrong with my files etc

Basically, I want to start fresh with the same ID

Open Palm Desktop and go to Tools -> Users and rename the current user to something. Then do a "New" user and name it your original Hotsync user name.

All your old data will be in the user folder you renamed "something."

C:\Program Files\Palm\"Something"

You can keep it or delete it after rebuilding your PDA.
