I've tried Commander, and I'm mostly happy with it. However, I can't figure out how to beam or see my memory usage while it is enabled. Anyone know how to do this? If these tasks aren't that difficult, I'm going to go ahead and purchase the app.

You should be able to go back to the Apps button and then use the menu system from there. That was the only was I could find to get to the memory usage. A hack might get you there but I just went with SilverScreen instead.

You might try popup time by benc software. It is a small hack that allows you to see the time and memeory usage with a single keystroke without leaving your current app. Very cool. Also you might look at his other offerings. Most noteably, PopUp names and note.

PS. I don't work for them, I'm just very impressed with these programs.
