    Hello All,

New to this site and new to Treo 650. A buddy of mine gave me a 650 from Cingular. Today I unlocked it and through my T-Mobile SIM in and everything seems to be working.

I would like to know what I need to do to get rid of all this Cingular "Parafanilia" off this phone? I read something about ROM's but don't want to do anything dangerous w/o expert advice.

Please let me know your thoughts, you guy's are the guru's!

You might just want to do this:
It came from the same thread I linked above in post #2.

I take it you have never done a Rom Update (SD or Otherwise)?

Hey Thanks for the quick response!

No, I never have done a ROM. . . I have been using a Sonyericsson P910i for the past year and 1/2. So, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Jamesgangut has provided so much help for those wanting to change or customize their Roms.
And I am pretty sure he is also w/ Tmobile.
So I think The Rom he provides in post # 30, in the link he provided, is the way to go.

First Try to Download that Rom he Links.

The first thing you need to do is take your buddy to dinner !

I Think Pabo was making light.
The OP's buddy gave him a Treo,
Now the OP should take his buddy out to dinner.

Also, after using the other link, JAMESGANGUT POST links to several ROMS he has done that work just by putting a folder on the SD card, installing, resetting and restore.

I did it and it was easy.

Just in case ya don't run across it in your reading; you will want to plug ur treo into AC power when running an Updater, SD or otherwise.
Actually, I think the Updaters ask you to be sure and plug into AC.
