So is it possible to open up a .wav file thats attached to an email with ptunes? I'm using verizon wireless sync as my email app.

When I tap on the attachment it tries to save it on my device to be used as a ringtone.

Can't say for sure on the email side because I'm using Chatter (It will send a .wav to ptunes once downloaded). The only thing I've noticed is that ptunes can't play compressed .wav files (NormSoft confirmed this in an email to me). This is a problem for me because my company has a Unity Messaging System which delivers voicemail messages as compressed .wav file attachments in email. So it would have been great to be able to listen to company voicemail via ptunes, but not really a big deal.
