I have just configured an SMTP server at home on port 587 (submission) to enable me to send out mail using SMTP AUTH / TLS from silly networks that block port outgoing port 25.

I can't see how to configure Chatter to use this port num though - I tried mailhost:587 but that times out when sending email. Is this supported?

Yes, host:port works in Chatter. Is SSL required (wrapped port) or STARTTLS (starting with non-secure connection)?

Thanks. I am using STARTTLS and it's working from a PC client on Thunderbird. Will give it another go later... hopefully that port is not also being blocked!

    Cheers, James
