I didn't see where you need to enter the numbers for the download to start.

If the above link does not work, here are the individual direct links:

    Sprint 300
    Sprint 600
    sprint 650
    verizon 650
    sprint 700p
    verizon 700p

    cingular 650
    verizon 700w
    Cingular 750

If you have a carrier CD not listed (700w/x or T-Mobile, etc), PLEASE contact me. I would like to add as many discs as I can!

Most .zips are stripped of the things you can easily get elsewhere (like Acrobat and RealPlayer for Windows). These should not be required for Treo-associated functions and if you need them, you can download them separately from their developers' websites.

If you download these files, please issue a thanks in this thread to keep the thread active so others may see it.

If you're having problems installing these CD's, you probably have to COMPLETELY delete your old Palm installation (from your computer, not your phone). Many users, in the posts below, have experienced this problem. Please read the entire thread if you encounter problems.

Downloading now. Getting my 650 replaced with the 700, but just the phone. No accessories. Thanks a lot, Sprint.

I downloaded the Cingular 650 cd, but when I went to install it the process stopped in the middle and I eventually received an error message saying that the installation had stopped responding. Any suggestions?

I read through much of the forum before posting, and I don't already have a copy of Palm Desktop on my computer, so that isn't the cause. I downloaded the zip file and extracted the entire contents using WinRaR to my desktop, then I double-clicked autorun.exe

Also, I purchased this phone used from a friend and I saw that people recommend that you restore the phone to original condition. Is there a way for me to save some of the contacts/apps that are already on the phone so that I can easily reinstall them after my phone is back in "new" condition?

Hurricane, this sounds like a problem with your computer. You runnin' XP? Have a million things running at once, etc?

As far as backing up contacts, there is a thread on this forum about a utility from Palm that allows you to back up your contacts OTA (over the air).

Just sold my Treo 650 and could not find the install CD. I pointed the buyer to this site. Thanks for uploading the CD's.

Yeah this will helpout fine the Cingular Branded software stinks and the generic version of PDT lacks the media conduit. This will come in handy now I can crunch my CDs

Thansk for taking the time to do this.

Thanks. Sprint just swapped my old 650 for a 700 - without disks of course. While one can download some stuff, other 700 specific stuff is next to impossible to get.

Additionally, the desktop download from Palm says that the version on the disk is newer.

It was nice of Sprint to replace my 650 with a 700, but they have to start shipping disks with the refurbished phones...
