For some reason, the first three contacts in my Contacts book, always repeat themselves once. If I try to delete one of them, it deletes the other one as well. There are no addresses in my SIM book, so thats not the problem. I have deleted the three that do it, and then the three AFTER them will do it as well. Whats going on here?

    It looks like this:

    Contact 1
    Contact 2
    Contact 3
    Contact 1
    Contact 2
    Contact 3
    Contact 4
    Contact 5...

Hi Evan, that seems really odd.

I don't have any idea what might be causing it. To clean it up, you might try a utility like Undupe.

    Good luck.

But it's not REALLY duplicate contacts. If I delete one, then the other one is deleted as well.

    This is really frusturating.

Do you get the same behaviour deleting from the Treo as deleting from Palm Desktop?

Nope, everything looks fine on the Palm Desktop.

Does the problem recur if you delete from Palm Desktop and hotsync?

Yes. It just won't go away.

Try deleting all the contacts databases in RAM on the Treo. Delete the duplicates from Palm Desktop, set hotsync to desktop overwrites handheld for contacts and sync.

Post here if it works or not.
