    Hi All,
I was using MS Outlook to sync my Calendar/Task/Memo/Contacts and I want to change to PalmDesktop now. However, I cannot Hotsync my Calendar to PalmDesktop and it stopped at 'Synchronizing Calendar' with no response.

I can only finish the synchronize by disabled the Calendar conduit. It seems only Calendar failed to sync with PalmDesktop. Memo/Task/Contacts/Other conduits are OK.

Any idea about my hotsync problem? Is my Calendar database corrupted? Anyway to fix?

Follow these directions, but change the action of the Calendar conduit to "Handheld overwrites desktop" before the last step.
    V > Vx > m505 > m515 > T/T > T3 > TC > 650 > 680

Thanks Bill, I haven't tried your solution but I have fixed the problem in my own way finally. :-D So, tired.........

The problem was caused by the Calendar database on my Treo650. I believe it was corrupted.

I think something was wrong when I switched from Outlook to PalmDesktop.

Anyway, I hope my solution can help all of you in the future and it should work on all Palm devices. Please follow the steps below.

    a) No noticeable problem when using Calendar on Treo650 (Palm device)

    b) Failed to HotSync with PalmDesktop. Stopped at 'Synchronizing Calendar' when Hotsync with PalmDesktop (Calendar conduit in 'Synchronize the files' mode or 'Handheld overwrites Desktop' mode)

    c) Treo reset automatically during HotSync (Calendar conduit in 'Desktop overwrites Handheld' mode)

    d) HotSync successful when Calendar conduit in 'Do nothing'.

    1) On Treo650 (Palm device), use the function 'Beam Category' in Calendar to beam all your events to a computer. It is better to beam each category out one by one. You can set a date range for each category (e.g. 1/1/04 - 31/12/05)

    2) Use FileZ to delete two files in the Internal memory (CalendarDB-PDat & CalendarLocationsDB-PDat). Don't worry, these two files will recreate when you access Calendar next time. Of course, it is a good idea to backup the files first.

    3) Go to Calendar. It allows recreate the empty Calendar database files.

    4) Try to HotSync once. It should be no problem.

    5) Beam the Category files (created in Step 1) back to the Treo650 (Palm device) one by one. Then you will see all your Calendar events again!

    6) Turn all PIM conduits to 'handheld overwrites desktop' and HotSync again.

    7) Finally, please make sure all the PIM conduits are in 'Synchronize the files' mode.
