AT&T slashes the price of the Motorola ATRIX 4G in half to $100 on-contract

    Atrix 4G Summary
    • $99
    • 4" qHD 960x540 Display
    • Dual core
    • 1024MB RAM
    • 16GB Internal
    • microSD
    • HDMI 1080p out
    • DLNA 1080p out
    • 5MP, Autofocus, Dig. Zoom, HD Rear Camera
    • Front camera, video chat

The pricing pressure might be due to the growing popularity of new 4.3" phones like the Galaxy S II, DroidX2, Droid Charge, Thunderbolt, Inspire, Optimus 3D, EVO 3D, and Sensation.

The 4.5" AT&T Infuse 4G is $149, faster, has a Super AMOLED Plus display, and is significantly thinner. ($139 at Fry's)

This might indicate that the expected Sprint 4.3" Motorola Photon on June 9th with Tegra dual core and qHD may also be at a lower price than first expected.

See Phone Comparison for details about these phones.

The on paper specs may look good, but I've heard lots of problems about this phone, ranging from GPS to software issues.
Palm IIIc -> Sony CLIÉ T650C -> Sony TJ-37 -> Palm TX -> Palm Centro -> Palm Pre Bell -> Palm Pre Plus Bell/Verizon Hybrid -> HP Veer -> HP Pre 3 NA -> BlackBerry Classic -> BlackBerry Priv

It's a Late Goodbye, such a Late Goodbye.

All true. Add to that that reception issues, WiFi issues, and that 4G was not even enabled at launch.

Two software updates, one aimed at GPS and other issues in March, and one in April including 4G seems to have dried up the issues threads in the Atrix forums.

Here are some of the April update highlights:
Motorola Atrix 4G update imminent, and it's coming soon, too | Android Central

Data Speed Increased speed at which data can travel on the network.
Data Connection Improvements to prevent interruptions to data connection.
    Skype Improvements to call audio.
Wi-Fi Increased functionality by enabling Yahoo Email to be sent over a Wi-Fi connection.
Calling Improvements were made to incoming and outgoing call functionality to ensure a more seamless experience.

Do a Google search for "Motorola Atrix Issues" and you will see all of these and more listed. Limit your Google search to the past week and they are gone.

I am not a Motorola fan but they seem to have dealt with the 1.0 issues.

We should know tomorrow if the Sprint Photon is basically the Atrix with a faster CPU.
