The Unwired has pictures and a video of the latest Windows Mobile iPhone challenger, the Gsmart MS808. As is usual with devices that have to rely on functionality rather than styling to compete, the MS808 is really packed. Featuring a 624 MHz Xscale processor, 128MB RAM, 256 MB Flash, 2.8 inch VGA screen, WIFI, Bluetooth, GSM/ EDGE/ HSDPA (single band only) DVB-T and DVB-H (Digital TV over the air reception), SiRF Star III GPS and a 3 megapixel camera, the device seems only to lack a hard keyboard.

Of course, the device is no slouch in the looks department either, featuring a flush screen and distinctly iPhone-like appearance.

With the advent of serious Web 2.0 compliant browsers in the WM world (especially Opera 9.5), especially on a VGA screen, it shows why WM is still the OS of the serious feature and functionality-driven consumer.

The device is aiming for release in Q3 2008.

That's a nice looking phone with some impressive specs... I wonder what kind of battery life it will get with that processor...
