I got this inverter for free, hoping to use it for camping or whatever (charging my TouchPad!), from what I've found online, this originally came with cables to attach directly to a car battery. I'd like to wire this to work off a cigarette lighter. Any suggestions on what the "control" terminal is for? Tips on how to wire it properly?

    control + ground + hot = negative + ground + positive ???

I'm guessing the control is to connect to the negative pole of the battery, hot to positive, and ground to... well... ground.

I'd assume negative is the ground, but I don't know.
    Anybody else??

control could be a small + voltage to control when it turns on.

I don't know about the wattage but you may need denser gauge to cover the amps needed. That maybe why it wanted to go directly to the battery.
