It works, though I get a beach sunset background instead of my own custom background. I tried relaunching. Also, I think it is making me crave dark chocolate.

Yea, it uses the wallpaper-temp.jpg file in /media/internal/.wallpapers/. When you switch wallpapers with the Photos app, your phone updates wallpaper-temp.jpg to the new wallpaper.
I could probably figure out how to make it work with the other methods of changing wallpapers, but this was just a "Hello World" kind of app lol.
Now on to something better! :)
