I meet a launch day Pre owner a few weeks ago at the place where I play pool. He had no knowledge of Preware or patches or anything. I showed him my phone and he got all excited so I bookmarked P|C on his phone. Last I heard he was running around telling iPhone owners that he had a better phone. Hahaha he got religion.
Haha that's awesome! I wish there was an easy way for us to show the general public the power of Preware and homebrew...
I'm not quite sure. My knowledge of Ubuntu is somewhat basic lol.
Yes, I believe the drive only uses the SSD portion for frequently used applications and the OS (I think). Ubuntu runs great with my current setup, so it doesn't matter if it can use the SSD or not.
My Windows7 install would definitely benefit though lol. :D
Issue is if ubuntu doesn't have TRIM support you may end up blowing out the ssd in a few months of use. Also if it is seen as a seprate partition that could cause issues when installing ubuntu and win7 together. Now if the drive manages the ssd and grabs the most used files on the partitions automatically that's a different story

True! Well hopefully when webOS becomes more mainstream and HP Palm continues to give it's blessing to homebrew, it will happen. :)

You have a weird idea of wha's endearing. That would completely annoy me.

I thought about that, but I don't think it would motivate people outside of the loot crew.

I use the Emulator... It makes testing small changes much easier since it only takes like 5 seconds to reboot Luna lol.
For Forums Beta, I ripped it out of my phone, packaged it back up, and installed to the Emulator. Then I just send my modded files to the right place on the Emulator.
