hey LOOTers, I have a tech issue. Can you help? I know this is off topic even for here...
I gave back the companylaptop, and somehow cant find contacts in any of my backup email files. So I have 3,000 contacts on my phone but none on my laptop. I am so faithful about backing up, I can't figure out what I did wrong.
Anyway, I tried the patch to send my contacts as a vcard via email. It sends me a 1gb file. when I oen it, I only see the first contact from my phone instead of 3,000
It's a big file, and it takes a while for the phone to generate, so I must be doing something wrong. What have I missed? This will really ruin my day if I can't get those contacts back in to outlook. Oh, and I already tried pulling the battery, no luck. And I can't visit the doctor or i will lose the contacts on the phone, so that's out.
ANy suggestions?

Have you checked in Internalz? I'm not sure were they would be, but they've got to be in there somewhere.

You can extract them using the palm db3 file.. I forget the location but it's in my faq in my sig..
There's a utility that extracts it to csv floating around pm me

As it turns out, I imported the csv file into gmail, and then exported it. outlook was able to read the exported file. strange.
nw I have to go back and delete them from gmail, which aparently can only be done 50 at a time...
but the crisis is averted and I can doctor safely.
