Mccain has a couple of ties to religious "leaders." I've alluded to them in the and to the connection to religious leaders in the republican party in general. It will all start to come out, unfortunately. But, of course, the republicans who spin this crap, will leave an out for McCain, so it does not matter.
Mccain wants to run a "clean" campaign because he can't and won't win if it goes dirty. Everyone talks of obama getting "hammered" in the general, but mccain has serious issues in his own right. Plus he is not exactly loved in his own party. I went out today in strong republican territory, and no one seemed to overwhelmed by mccain like they were bush years ago. It is really strange.
The only strong comment I received was from an OLD republican lady (not that old, in her 60s) who said mccain was much too old to be president. Gasping for air, I was a bit speechless for a second. Mccain has some serious issues that he needs to address before nov.
