Seagate takes hard drives to 750 GB
Massive storage courtesy of perpendicular technology.

Seagate broke through the 500 GB barrier of hard drive storage and created a new drive that has a massive 750 GB of space on board.

The new drive, which forms part of the Barracuda 7200.10 family, is the first hard disk to reach 750 GB of capacity. The company hit this mark by using a relatively new storage technique called perpendicular recording technology. Not only does this allow for hard drives to store more information in the same space--because more information is available under the read/write head at any one time--but also it allows for faster data transfers.

Remember, the "P" in PDA stands for personal.
If it works for you, it is "P"erfect.
