    I just submitted a claim to get my phone replaced and my replacement should reach me on tuesday.

    I read on the Asurion site that they provide a 12 month warranty for replacement phones... does that mean that I no longer need Sprint Insurance? Would that warranty cover the phone being dropped and thus having a damaged screen or something else of the sort? I'm guessing it won't cover the phone being lost or stolen, but I don't think that's likely.

    Also, I've heard that some Sprint CS reps are sympathetic and will apply a small credit to your next bill if you mention that you had to pay the $100 deductible. Is that true? Is it worth trying to get?

    So, can someone clear things up for me?

    Asurion's warranty on their equipment just covers manufacturer's defects (screen stops working, dead pixels, etc.), not physical/water damage. So yeah, you'd want to keep the insurance on it for all those other issues.
