I have recently copied some directories from my pc for backup to my USB drive which is connected to my LG TV running webOS.

Since copying those directories (which contain non media files , like steam game backups, etc) , my LG TV takes 4x the time it previously used before finally showing up the same USB drive in the connected menu.
So I guess it scans these directories to show any viewable media content.

So my question is , is there any way to disable or prevent the LG webOS from scanning certain folders to look for any viewable media content?

In Android there is a way of doing precisely that by adding a .nomedia file in the directory , but how to do the same thing fpr LG TV on webOS?

    thanks for help.

Have you tried putting a dot in front of the subdirectory names?
