Did you ever manage to sort anything with this. Just been looking at the same problem on an LG Smart TV and the YouTube app has disappeared.

I've found posts saying that it was being pulled due to a Google update from a few years back but not on a new TV that was bought a couple of months ago

Thanks cdrose - somehow we missed this question!
Any of the apps like YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.. are all kept in the Premium Apps.

Only found it thanks to your post appearing on a Web search for "why no YouTube app on LG webos". Would never consider a free app to be under 'premium' instead of "Apps". 🙄
