    It doesn't look like the sort of thing that would be a simple as a loose cable. Probably no choice but to warranty it.

    I agree with previous post. I it looks like something that is a hardware issue maybe in a board. Send it back and nope they can fix/replace it. Sorry you had the bad luck.

    mine did that last night for now reason. It looked very similar to yours and was in the exact same place.

    I just reset the device and it went away. Today it is working fine. Hopefully it will stay that way.

    Are you bending the case at all when it starts to do it? It looks like you were trying to move it in a certain way? Because to me it looks like something might be loose in the inside or something inside the screen itself. I had something similar on my laptop recently and it was the graphics card inside was installed without its screw to hold it down, so it became loose.

    But instead of opening it up I would call HP and see what they can do for you.
