Well, problem somewhat solved. It seems to be sync'ing now, but it took some finagling. Here's what we did:
(Actually, my first step involved removing any additional calendars that existed on the exchange server. Believe it or not, I had two in a trash bin, but the touchpad amazingly still seemed to reference and attempt to load them)
- First, I removed the Exchange account from my touchpad by going into "Accounts" and removing the Exchange account from within that app.
- Next, I created a new calendar in a personal folder (file on my laptop and not on the Exchange Server) in Outlook. (our exchange server is version 2003 and my outlook is version 2010)
- I then set the online calendar and the newly created "offline" calendar to "List Mode" so I could see the appointments in list format, rather than seeing them in a calendar view.
- I highlighted all my appointments (CTRL A) on the Exchange calendar, then cut them (CTRL X) and pasted them (CTRL V) into the offline calendar I just created.
- Next, I moved all reoccurring appointments from the newly created calendar back over to the online calendar.
- I then moved all remaining appointments from the current month only and forward, back to the Exchange calendar. (no appointments prior to the current month, or no more 1 to 2 weeks previous)
- I then added the Exchange account back on the Touchpad by using the "Accounts" app.
This seemed to work for me, however, anytime I copied any type of appointments from the previous month or earlier (about 2 weeks in), it would no longer work. I'm not sure why. I thought at first it might have been an appointment, but I couldn't narrow it down - it gave very intermittent results. I think it may have something to do with older appointments. Of course, google calendar does not give me this problem, but wanted to post it here in case anyone else is having the same issue and cannot figure it out.
For anyone else who is trying this, I would do it one step at a time. The above steps worked for me, but it might be different for you. I would first try cleaning out everything from your online calendar (also making sure there are no multiple online calendars - just one). Then add a few new appointments for future dates, not previous dates. Sync your calendar and see what happens.
Good luck and I hope Palm/HP figures out why this is happening.
