For some reason I'm having problems with google talk. Skype seems to be working just fine, but the message app is not showing any of my google talk friends. I have created a google account and everything. Any suggestions?

That did the trick. I logged out, logged back in and google talk displayed all my buddies. Thanks.

It is interesting... it seems all of the google services work, but all seem to work better on a second log in. I had trouble with mail, contacts and calendar, all resolved by logging off inside the app and then logging back in.
