    Thanks for the info. The file system and the multi-tasking are a huge plus.

    Sounds like a Mac, back in the days. Better OS design, ahead of it's time, but not marketed the right way.

    And now it seems to be coming back a little, especially with the help of Sony and the P800 and Nokia and the 3650. I believe those both use Symbian.

    The Symbian OS is owned by a consortium of Psion and most of the cell phone producers. They're sitting on the best OS designed for communications and don't have a clue what to do with it. Nokia didn't even give their communicator a touchscreen. Haven't seen the Sony. Hope they've done a better job with it.

    I almost think they're just using it as leverage to get a better deal out of Palm and Microsoft for OS lisc fees.
