Yes, I saw that, so that's something.

Need to contact Mr. Balmer about http://joapp.com too...

    Still on Github: https://github.com/davebalmer/jo

UPDATE: It seems the sites will return when Mr Balmer has the time to set uo a new server.

In the meantime, I'll set the link to the repository.

Found this: www.palmopensource.com - The PalmOS WebOS Open Source Portal -

It's mainly PalmOS stuff, but there's some webOS stuff listed there.

It appeared that www.iswebosdeadyet.com had not been renewed and it's creator has confirmed that she allowed it to lapse, suggesting we could take it on. However, there is no 'holding page' type message at the address. A check of the whois database shows that the site has been renewed for another year at Dreamhost Inc. I assume by that company, but their own website shows the domain as unavailable for purchase.

Perhaps it's simply that the record changes are taking a while to propogate & there may be a 'grace period' for the forgetful to renew before the domain is sold on. This was a one page site intended as something of a joke. When searching for the phrase, "Is webOS dead yet?", you'll get many results: There are many articles circa 2011 asking & answering the question.

I very much doubt this site ever saw much traffic and especially not these days. If it is possible, is anyone interested in bringing this site back? Is it worth it? Or not? (I have a copy of the page source from the internet archive).

    Hmmm....
    http://gr.am
    Server not found
    Also http://www.webos.org

www.hptouchpadforums.net now has a holding page

Also, HP webOS Forum & Community (German) are returning a 403 error.

In other news, we bought www.webOScenter.com and redirect it to pivotCE.

    Hey everybody!

    www.openwebosproject.org
    www.openwebosproject.net
    www.openwebosproject.com

As far as I can tell, these domains are still registered to Palm or LG.

Barcode love? Has the site been hacked?

Haha I wonder if it is pointing to an IP address that now hosts another site, and the DNS entry was never updated? :P

EDIT: I am sending a message to get that checked on, as there are resources of use on the site.
    Did you know:

webOS ran on a Treo 800 during initial development.

Now timing out completely... hopefully that's just a sign that things are getting fixed.

I haven't updated in a while, so I updated the LuneOS release, switched the Universe/Isis browser entry to QupZilla and added entries for Palm Power ups, Polymer & Qt5.

    Hi Everybody!

Is there a definitive list of everything that can be installed on a TouchPad?

Actually, I don't need a list of EVERYTHING, just significant examples.

For instance: Android (AOSP): Most recent stable / Most recent

    Aside from that entry:
    • LuneOS
    • Arch Linux

I know there's more, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
I'm basically looking for most functional / latest version of anything, so my criteria for inclusion would be that it has to boot and enable the tablet to be used independently (untethered to USB) to do something useful. That said, I suppose of there was some amazing remote access application, I might make an exception.

Well, there are 2 or 3 chroots that I guess can be part of that list ( 2 ubuntu versions for sure, one being saucy )
    TigerVNC and the rdp client
basilisk II if you want to say you're using an apple quadra
With dosbox you can have a win98 tablet

Unfortunately, the chroot installs are for now-unsupported versions, so the repo's are not available to install packages anymore.
