I have been having a bit of trouble with my Treo 270 recently and have had to perform several hard resets. What I have noticed is that the presets for my speed dials disappear (I have to enter them all again) and all SMS's are wiped out. Luckily I didn't lose anything vital - this time. Since the retards at Handspring support literally couldn't care less (openly admitting as much) does anyone out there have an idea why this happens and how I can prevent it happening again. I am using Mac OS 9.1.

Try installing the older pdb files.

In your backup folder within your username folder on the PC or MAC you should see phonecall.pdb and phonedial.pdb. I cant remember which which one is responsible for the speed dial but just install both. Make a copy of both files before installing.

    PC path : C: xxxxxx / handspring / username / backup

    MAC path : HrdDrive / xxxxxx / Palm / Users / Username / Backups
