Treo users may be interested in this little piece of software, which actually works (using the mind boggling wireless data speed of 9.6kb). It's called WirelessModem (formerly Treomodem), which acts as a modem for your laptop or desktop connected t to treo with its USB cable. I got it to work on my Powerbook running OS X 10.2. It also runs on Mac OS9, Linux and Windows. I am wondering if it will run on Treo with the GPRS upgrade. According to Scott, the guy who wrote it, it should. He says it works with the Treo 300, using the fast network that they (Sprint?) use. If that's true, this $15 piece of software may make it unnecessary to purchase the expensive GPRS PC cards for laptops.
