Thanks I've not been brave enough to flash the firmware yet. I've had one reset so far.

I don't know about the pre-pay 12 months so you can unlock the handset bit, but I confirmed today that if I change my subscription from Premier 600 after the first 6 months, I will not have to pay any penalties or additional charges for the handset.

Orange charged you 20 to unlock the Treo 650? Are you on a monthly contract?

I am on a monthly contract, started it today, this one. Read my thread orange are clueless. If you wnat to know why I am happy to pay 20. The lady advised that smaller retail shops might be able to do it for less. I said thanks but no thanks I will get it from orange so that if anything goes wrong I am covered, also my replacemenat handset will thus be unlocked for me. Thinking ahead with orange these days after the headache I have had.
